Maria Boguszewicz<\/strong> is a lecturer at the Institute of Iberian and Ibero-American Studies, where she is also the director of the Centre of Galician Studies and coordinates all activities related to the linguistic and cultural diversity of the Iberian Peninsula within the University of Warsaw. She is also responsible for maintaining relations with the Ramon Llull and Etxepare Basque Institutes. She coordinates the research group (otra)Iberia: otras representaciones, culturas e identidades en la Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e9rica. As leader of this group, she is the President of the Organisational Committee of the Annual International Conference on the cultures of the co-official languages of the Iberian Peninsula. Additionally, she is a member of another research group GENIA: G\u00e9nero, Identidad y Discurso en Espa\u00f1a y Am\u00e9rica Latina as well as the Organisational Committee of the annual conference arranged by this group. Furthermore, she is a member of the research group at the University of A Coru\u00f1a ILLA: Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n Ling\u00fc\u00edstica e Literaria Galega. Finally, she is President of the International Association of Galician Studies and longtime member of the Modern Language Association.<\/p>\n Her research interests are focused on Galician, Catalan and Basque culture. Her specialist subjects are feminist Galician literature, notably the works of Mar\u00eda Reim\u00f3ndez, as well as Catalan, Galician and Basque films made by female directors, with particular emphasis on the landscape.<\/p>\n She has published numerous chapters in monographs and articles in scientific reviews on Galician culture and literature and, more recently, about Galician film. Additionally, she is editor of some monographs as well as special issues of reviews. Her current project is centred on scenery featured in films produced by women in Catalonia, the Basque Country and Galicia.<\/p>\n She has been a visiting professor at numerous universities and institutions, including the Complutense University of Madrid, the University of A Coru\u00f1a, the University of Vigo, ADHUC\u2013Research Centre for Theory, Gender and Sexuality, and many more.
